I just can’t get enough of Flavor Foley’s Queen of Venus, there’s something about it. The song is inherently satisfying, it’s slow, incremental buildup is one of a kind. Electronic Music is already like a massive thing for me I mean I’ve burned 4 techno mixes on CDs and can list you some of the most iconic techno music to exist. More on that at the end, anyways.

This song is so incredibly layered, so intricate. That synthy-bass that accompanies the song from start to end is so heavenly that only gets better as it’s joined by the rest of the synths. Part of this satisfaction as while the melody reaches a climax, it gets faster and louder. I just can’t get enough of it!!! I’d put it over Water the Roses, another song I love just as much.

Yeah, you heard me.
That’s why I find the album so fascinating because to me, it’s not an album that I think people will listen to in full often. It forms an almost personal connection that’s different between listeners as they loop the songs about their favorite type of love, even if it’s an unconventional love; even if it’s one-sided. That is just so… fascinating.
Anyways, my favorite songs are Queen of Venus & Water the Roses. Gumi is tuned in a way I’ve never heard before in Water the Roses and Queen of Venus introduced me to Adachi Rei, who I’ve dabbled in Utau Software with. However, gushing aside. Queen of Venus is about cleansing your sins through sex, a traditionally taboo subject; while Water the Roses is one hell of a breakup song.
What does this say about me? Great question!
